  • EEL GROVE

    L'Anguille River meaning "the eel" (pronounced "lan-GWEEL" "LANG-gill" or locally as "LANE-GEE") is a tributary of the St. Francis River, approximately 110 miles long, in northeastern Arkansas. EEL GROVE is composed of over a mile of river frontage in the historic bottoms.

    Harvest

    EG has a tenant farmer onsite that produces corn and soybeans. Sizable acreage is left standing for wintering mallards.

    EG lodge can sleep 4-5 comfortably. Mud room can support up to 8 hunters

    Duck & Goose

    The L'Anguille River is a world-renown tributary that provides substantial habitat for wintering waterfowl. Typically mallards are the most abundant species. EG devotes a substantial amount acreage to waterfowl habitat. Habitat includes leveed fields, moist soil unit, and timber.

    An extensively managed food plot system accompanied with timber stand management gives EG strategic bedding and stand locations. EG is in Arkansas' 4a zone.

    Fishing

    Sitting in the center of EG, is a 14 acre lake that is full of trophy bass and crappie. A good afternoon of fishing can yield several bass over 5lbs. A graveled boat ramp makes launching a boat easy.

    Entertainment

    EG headquarters are a 60x30 metal lodge that has two bedrooms (5 beds), one bath, mudroom, living room, full kitchen, and an outdoor entertainment space.
